Adam Lacko has been one of the most consistent and competitive racers in the FIA ETRC over the last four or five seasons.
One of the Czech Republic's best known racers, Lacko has a wealth of experience in GT and Touring Car racing behind him. He made his FIA ETRC debut in 2011 and scored his first win that season at the Smolensk Ring. He followed that win up with victories at Most, Zolder and Le Mans Bugatti.
2012 was a remarkably consistent campaign that netted two wins at Nurburgring and Zolder for third place in the championship as he continued to learn all about racing more experienced adverseries like Jochen Han and Antonio Albacete.
2013 saw Adam racing in a Renault but a distant sixth place in the standings was not what he was looking for. The following season in 2014 was better as he placed fourth for Buggyra International Racing Systems.
Six wins in 2015 was his best ever season but the dominance of Norbert Kiss left him well adrift in the points. Last season was much closer as he ran Jochen Hahn hard and close for another vice-champion position in the final classification.
For 2017 Adam stayed with Buggyra International Racing Systems finally captured the elusive crown. It was a splendid season for the Czech racer, whose one of the most memorable drives came at the damp Nürburgring. This year the Czech will defend the title and will be one of the favourites to clinch the big prize.
