Brereton’s motorsport journey began on the turn of the millennium from short oval racing. From then on he moved on to Europe’s equivalent of NASCAR – a series called ASCAR that used to be held at the Rockingham oval.
He also raced pickups and late models before making his truck racing debut in 2015, finishing seventh overall in the British Truck Racing Championship.
He made his FIA ETRC debut at the Nürburgring in 2016. His first overall victory came the year after in Most.
In his first full season in the championship in 2018 he dominated the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP, scoring an impressive 19 class victories out of 32 races.
